I refuse to waste my time watching his Clickbait Cybertruck video.

Hes definitely smoking something! For him to really believe what hes saying is true, he's in lala land. I'm sure his followers dont believe his hating bulls***! Or do they? Will Tesla Cybertruck Values Ever Stop Falling?
100% I am the same way, that's why I bought it and love every minute of driving it.I have owned BMWs most of my life, and the depreciation was far worse, so I really don't get what people are talking about. Also, I don't sell cars for a living, so it's a non-factor in my calculus. To me, it's a tool for fun, adventure, and travel.
As a rule of thumb, I trust no one named Doug.
It generates cicks. I have seen people with Civic DXs on IG post " i rather have my SOHC all day, not a Tesla" or some dumb line do 15 variations of it for the algorithm and that shit gets clicks and im like bro.....give it a rest man, lol But it's true its totally for clicks to cater to a demo that has no common sense.100% I am the same way, that's why I bought it and love every minute of driving it.
Its just that the hate from certain youtubers is ridiculous and annoying.
Doug demuro is a moron to say the cybertruck will be 30k in 3-5 yrs is the dumbest thing ive ever read online. Doug is not very smart and why would people listen to a dude named Doug? His information is just an opinion and not factual. Just about Every vehicle in the world is not an investment and most depreciate more than the cybertruck has (like bmw's) yes elon ruined the reputation by joining the orange dude in the office and people just started attacking tesla.I don’t know, all of this seems pretty reactionary to me.
I watched the whole thing I don’t have many arguments against anything he’s saying except for the way he phrases it, “will it go to zero (in fairness he does answer that question ultimately as ‘no absolutely not’ and explains why).” Or that it’s lost $100,000. True if you could sell it for 150 and now you can only sell it for 60 or 50 that is 90 to 100k bucks however except for the dummies who bought the car for $150k on his website and other retailers in 2024, virtually nobody paid that.
Hero worship has no value just like ad hominem attacks. Say whatever you want to about Doug, he’s made more money on the sale of CyberTrucks than anybody here flapping their lips. Cars and Bids makes *more money* of the sales price is higher. He gained nothing by artificially suppressing sales.
He makes the point that this is happening to almost every EV especially trucks (directly calls out Hummer, Ford and Rivian) all of which is true, so, I don’t know what specific objections people have, but I sure would like to hear them.
If you watch the whole thing, I think it’s pretty hard to argue with what he’s saying. Interestingly on their podcast with him and Camissa’s hot take was that the cybertruck is the best truck ever made. And of course he’s right.
I value my model S plaid at $200,000. Zero people will ever get me to sell it for less than that. That doesn’t mean the market agrees with me. The market is not ration.
Here Doug explains all of the reasons why the cyber truck has the depreciation problem it does and if you don’t think that these trucks will be going for less than $20,000 in 10 to 11 years like he says, then you’re crazy. Mine won’t. But, the market does not respect electric vehicles from any brand.
The model X right now is an anomaly but when peoples falcon doors start breaking they will sink like a rock too.
Was at a wedding this week with 230 people and 90% of them were interesting San Francisco carpet bagger types (not native SF people). In any case this woman (that is an assumption) saw my Cybertruck and starting stelling me and some friends of hers about a YouTube she had seen where "a couple of Racoons had mistook a Cybertruck for a dumpster" .. no really she said "they did and and they ate the wiring on the Cybertruck" (followed by her (?) belly laugh.Tesla Click Bate is exhausting.
You're much nicer than me Roberto. I would have said loud enough for everyone in the vacinity to hear "That's the dumbest f'in thing I've heard all year, and I've heard quite a bit."Was at a wedding this week with 230 people and 90% of them were interesting San Francisco carpet bagger types (not native SF people). Very stupid interaction indeed, and I actually think it's a very attractive vehicle, but must like how minimalism is ugly to some to find it very appealing. Its troubling how people are programmed these days. Reminds me of a Psy-Op flow. Was at a wedding this week with 230 people and 90% of them were interesting San Francisco carpet bagger types (not native SF people). She was serious so I gave the comment few seconds then jumped in before someone else to add another inane comment and said " that's interesting ... you know the brides mother has a Tesla Model 3 and she had mice eat some wires on her Tesla so unless that YouTube included actual testimony from the racoons that they had mis-identified the Cybertruck as a dumpster, it may have been normal curiosity by the rodents and racoons just doing what they do to any vehicles they discover in their scurrying about.
While I readily acknowledge that the Cybertruck is not an attractive vehicle, the fact this highly educated person (she, her, him, it) could spout such utter nonsense without even giving the slightest bit of thought to the topic was revelatory abouted truth in the era of social media.
Same. Except that one with the Emu.As a rule of thumb, I trust no one named Doug.
Yeah well is was a wedding and with an obvious Tesla/Elon hating crowd of 20-30 somethings, there was no point in taking it any further. I tried to enjoy the spirit of the day and when surrounded by people with such strange world views it wasn't worth the effort. You're much nicer than me Roberto.
