My wiper has been doing this too. Upgrading to 14.11 now so perhaps its one of the minor fixes mentioned.

Maybe it's a sensor issue, failing to properly report position on some trucks, maybe adjustable?
Has anyone had the sensor replaced yet? This is a good suggestion.

Edit: I don't see a way to adjust the motor/sensor. I don't see a separate sensor either, maybe the motor provides feedback? The manual doesn't cover this yet either, so I'm fiddling with it blind 😂

@CyberGus I'm seeing a single 48v harness to the motor and the washer fluid line. No other wires to a nearby sensor that is obvious. Do you know where the sensor is?

We can hope! Please let us know. My truck hasn't updated yet. But I'm not having this issue, yet.

I doubt there's any kind of "aero" sensor to help position the wiper, they probably just computer-modeled it and calculate the position based on speed.

The motor itself likely has a position sensor internally, and some are apparently more accurate than others. The software should account for this variability.

I had the same thoughts. Looks easy to swap out at least. Guess we'll need some more time and data to sort this one.

Another thought I had was possibly a larger 48v system instability causing the motor to flip flop or cause whatever it's doing. Iirc one user said they replaced their motor completely and it didn't resolve the issue.

I'll hook up a multimeter to the 48v line and record how it varies. Huge swings in voltage shouldn't happen, but my truck is a good baseline but a bad test since it isn't doing this wiggle thing.

I wonder if there's a magic speed that does this.... Hmmm. Like, as an example, if the motor is set to one position at 72mph vs 71mph, so cruising at 72 you're oscillating between 71.9 and 72.0 because the world is so continuous and the response is so discrete, we get this "wiggle".
Probably a dumb idea, but your comment makes a good point.

@4Frodo, or anyone with this issue, were you set to a specific speed or were you just using your foot? Is it the same speed or does it just do this all the time?

That is not a problem to fix. The wiper has much mass to it and will be receptive to speed winds. Get used to it.

Yes, we will do our best. Thanks.

@bwilliam79 I completely missed your post somehow, sorry about that! Do you have access to a multimeter or are comfortable with it?

Can confirm mine doesn't move at any speed, even with wind, at speeds 100+ as well..not a true statement

I do, but I won’t be home until late tomorrow. I’m not all that concerned about the issue, personally, but I do have a service appointment scheduled and may add this issue just to increase visibility within Tesla.

So i've had the wiper replaced completely once already and its still doing this. I thought perhaps it was a wind or a daylight thing but nope. just tried again tonight and look its still doing it here , even worse I think at night,

we would think Tesla would want to have this defect saved for investigation. Most of the time these places save defective units and items to study them to improve them. Im suprised they wouldn't keep this and send back to corporate to reproduce and improve

Yeah, it moves when it's supposed to- when I turn it on to wipe things off the windshield, which is great, because that's how it should work. I have no complaints.

What does the wiper do on your Cybertruck?

No reviewers mentioned this as behavior in their Cybertruck reviews, it's clearly not supposed to just wobble around. Glad mind doesn't do it.
im jealous. its so nerve racking that is does this. makes me hate the truck , try driving road trips with this crap wiper doing this for hours and hours.
