Older RC CT… no foundation stamp… maybe other vehicle was filming CT spotting and ran into side of it as it passed???
the stamps are actually very hard to see from a distance or at certain angles

but this door trim panel is grey, so it’s not a Foundation unit but otherwise really unable to tel if it’s an RC an MC

The CHP summary of the accident: "On December 28, 2023 at approximately 2:05 pm, CHP Redwood City units were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on SR-35 (Skyline Boulevard), south of Page Mill Road. Our preliminary investigation indicates a Toyota Corolla was traveling south on SR-35 southbound, south of Page Mill Road, at an unknown speed, when the driver, for unknown reasons, turned to the right and subsequently struck a dirt embankment on the right shoulder. The Toyota then re-entered the roadway, crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane, and crashed into a Tesla Cybertruck traveling north on SR-35 northbound.
The Tesla driver sustained a suspected minor injury and declined medical transportation. No other injuries were reported.
It does not appear that the Tesla Cybertruck was being operated in autonomous mode. The investigation into this incident is ongoing."

Additional info from another source: Tesla employee was driving Cybertruck. It was registered in Palo Alto, but had Texas plates, suggesting it was a Tesla-owned vehicle. Source: https://www.theautopian.com/tesla-cybertruck-crash/

TL;DR: The Toyota Corolla ran off their side of the road, hitting a dirt embankment, then re-entered the roadway, crossed over the double yellow lines into the northbound lane, and crashed into a Tesla Cybertruck traveling north on SR-35 northbound. It was wet.

That is interesting. Hwy 35 runs along the coastal range near where I live. It is a windy but mostly level road, frequented by motorcyclists (comment @Crissa?) . Hwy 17 is also a windy mountain road and also known for accidents. This description paints the Cybertruck completely differently than the previous story.

I've done some bouncing around like this. Buddy had just gotten a used Suburban, we were driving too fast down the curvy road and slipped out on a curve with some gravel. Hit a guard rail on the drivers side, bounced back and crashed into a dirt berm on the passenger side. We were mostly good, even the truck wasn't damaged too bad. Could have been immensely worse.

That police report looks like it was AI-generated (ChatGPT, "write a police report from the California Highway Patrol with the following details..." will get you the same thing). Has anyone been able to confirm this report from CHP as the actual source? I think that's why the major news outlets are refraining (though it doesn't take much misinformation for them to write another anti-Tesla hit piece).
