I was simply pointing out that you were conflating delivery people with service techs. My local Tesla Service send cars out to a local paint specialist if they need paint correction.I've had three Teslas delivered. The last two, my M3 and MYP had some pretty bad paint issues. I brought them to a paint correction specialist instead of having someone at the SC, do the minimum they think they can get away with, to get me to accept the vehicle. They are not paint correction professionals there at the SC and they are probably not going to be stainless steel refinishing experts either. That's why they have body shops and detail shops. I would not let the SC try to fix any paint issue and would not trust them to fix any deep gouges on an HFS exterior either. We have seen pictures of what it looks like when they try to fix it! Looks like complete crap! Like they give an unqualified worker and orbital sander and say "fix it". I've seen the pictures of what it looks like after they sand a part of a panel with issues, and it's not good, and does not match. So show me some before and after pictures of a truck they fixed and it looks really good and matches great. Probably won't ever see any.
That being said, there will be professionals who will be able to fix blemishes on these trucks and they will probably be detailers and they will exist because there will be money to be made if they are good at it, and the news travels that they are good at their craft. Won't be the service centers though. It's going be an art of love, motivated by getting paid by people who are willing to pay good $$$ for it, to spend the time necessary, to follow all the steps required, to achieve the desired quality outcome. Where there's a need for a service, and there will be, there will be people who can provide that service for a fee and get damn good at it. And if they are good at it, they will have a job for life if Tesla makes as many of these trucks as they plan to make.
But it's ridiculous to say "We have seen pictures of what it looks like when they try to fix it! Looks like complete crap!" because any shop is going to vary in the quality they produce and are only as good as the Service Manager and the Service Tech doing the work. They are employees and the same thing happens sometimes at non-Tesla shops. Tesla does not have a monopoly on bad work. My experience is that Tesla tends to attract higher quality people than other auto shops but of course, no matter where you go, it's going to vary.
I'm sure you could find plenty of good examples too. If you wanted to. But people tend to take more bad pictures of work than good ones. This is not unique to Tesla although I know it's a popular narrative that the loudest voices try to reinforce. In my experience, it's false.
