Ceramic tint is UV reflective, so should be minimal risk. It does depend on brand and tint level. Each brand should have a chart similar to this. You're looking for the total solar energy rejected vs. the light allowed through the film. The difference is the energy absorbed by the film...
It depends on the film and how it works. Reflective tint doesn't increase thermal loading in the glass. But most tint / cheap tint keeps the cabin cool by absorbing some UV and other wavelengths. That energy goes into the tint as heat, which heats the glass beyond its normal temperature...
There is space there. I looked at photos, but couldn’t really swag how much and it would be a custom mounting and solution.
The molle panels would be another option, but they have a 100 lb. Weight limit.
Yes it’s fine to supercharge to 100%, but it’s going to take forever. DC fast charging slows down considerably above 80-90% state of charge.
Try a planning app like “A better route planer”. It will optimize a bit for lower state of charges. Tesla route planning tends to schedule longer...
Yes. Just plug it in and the car will manage everything.
Charge to what you need for a daily mileage so that you end the day around 20-30%. The battery will last almost indefinitely if you charge to 60% and run to 30% daily. I charge my Model 3 to 90% and run it to 15% in the winter and...
No, you don’t need the wall mount. But most 15-50 outlets are the cheap Leviton brand and they’re made for light duty use and have proven to wear out/ get hot and melt or start on fire.
Make sure your 15-50 is in good condition, or just replace it with a Hubbel or better with properly torqued...
??? That’s what Tesla PowerShare is. It’s already enabled on the Cybertruck and Tesla said some future vehicles will have it as well. It’s a physical hardware change needed to S,X, M3 and MY
Same. And my email very specifically stated the CyberBeast still gets the $4000 installation credit AND the hardware. And the survey very specifically stated that if I’m denied or deny PowerShare installation, that I would get the $2500 voucher.
I was approved for PowerShare in February.
Specific to EV wall charger installations, make sure the electrician uses high strand count COPPER wire sized appropriately for high duty cycle use. And TORQUES per spec each connection point including the breaker lugs.
If you plan on living at the house a long time. I also recommend upsizing...
Just wait until you haven't been to a gas station in months (or a year+) and then you get annoyed and frustrated by how dirty the pumps are and that you're standing out in the freezing cold filling up your rental car before you have to return it.
You don't. The install is permanent and considered part of the house when you sell it. Just like light fixtures and the electrical panel. You can write in an exception to the sale offer, but why? The cost of removal will likely be more than the cost of the equipment. Just buy new equipment...
Seaweed and Sardines…… nope. Fresh spinach I can get behind.
I’m assuming Tesla is still /was still refining their panel edge deburr operations in the early trucks. Agreed that’s not acceptable, and it’s something I’ve planned to check and debur myself with a ceramic stone if needed. I hope...
As a development engineer in the same field, I agree with your premise. There are compromises every day during a project, but if done right, the end product is still the perfect thing for the target audience.
There were so many intrusive ads on that website though, that it was near...
While we don't have all the specs, configurations and prices yet. It can be assumed based on the current Quad motor, that the new Quad motor will only do 2.4s 0-60 on sticky summer only tires. The Tri-motor does it on A/T tires, and will probably do it faster on summer tires. Not defending...
Adams All Season Windshield washer fluid
I've tried many, I mixed my own using concentrate from Einzette, McKee's 37, Honda, all for winter freezing temperature. But I think the Adam's is probably the best value option at this time.
RainX was my go-to for 10 years, until I used it in my...
