I reside on Florida’s Space Coast. Ten days after taking possession of the CT my family and I decided to take a trip to Washington, DC. Given the length of the trip we stopped in Fayetteville, NC to overnight in a hotel. The ride there was smooth with 4 stops to charge. The attention the truck got was incredible with people driving next to us filming and taking pix, waving, giving us thumbs up, etc. We only spotted one other CT in Jacksonville (pic) and none all the way to DC. That would probably explain why every time we stopped we were approached by someone who had questions and/or wanted to take pix. Once in DC the people’s excitement continued. It was pure insanity. Even though we drove a lot around Washington we only saw 2 other ones.
On the way back we opted to not stop anywhere except for charging. The 15.5hrs ride was long but extremely comfortable. The kids were in the back listening to music and watching movies, so they had a blast and the adults took turns driving. At no point did we have any issues with the truck whatsoever, including driving through heavy rain with the wiper going at full speed.
In total we spent about $260 for charging for the entire trip. I do not drive conservatively by any means which is clearly reflected in the stats I attached. We also had 5 suitcases in the back.
There is really not one negative thing I could say about the entire experience. We had the best time. Usually people look forward to arriving at their destination, for us even the drive was an absolute treat.
