In my opinion, they made this a very negatively framed message.

This could have been an exciting update about how much closer the CT is to production and the many developments that have happened in the past few months.
"We're almost there, and you're gonna love it!" kind of thing.

I feel like I've been declined a position of some kind.

See Now I took it just the opposite.

For the longest time the only update to the cybertruck page was to turn it off.. then to turn off the configurator but bring the page back live.

Now we have them not just maintaining the page but responding to trade in inquiries.. that is EXCITING!

Setting expectations as closely as possible to reality is the right thing to do. Message should not be more positive than facts on the ground. Elon said there are many difficult problems to solve and it is very likely while setting up the line and testing CT (a completely new animal) unexpected and difficult problems were found. Setting expectations before having the solution is not right.
“We are committed to delivering an exceptional product” means they are not going to put a duct tape on the problem to make a date. That is a good thing.

Just seems odd to me that they would reach out to say… nothing. Particularly after 3+ years of no messaging about nothing.

for me.. it was .. i do believe triggered by me going to the trade in link on the cybertruck page...

i get a text from em occasionally asking if i have questions etc because i am a new owner...so i can pretty much guarantee it is from tesla .. came from the same number.

This makes worlds of sense to me.

Only thing that throws me off is the idea they would just out-of-the-blue send a text that says. “No news, thanks!”.

well the text rolls on for a bit; including "Please reply to this message with the best time to connect....

so i of course replied ANY TIME!! laughs who on HERE wouldn't wanna connect to tesla about a cybertruck...

THEN they replied they don't have any updates at this time... someone had mentioned i should text back and ask for my delivery date.. is why i put in they replied with no news... 8)

Received how? On the Tesla Account? In the Tesla app? In email or text message?

Text is not fact and easily manufactured. How do we know this is from Tesla? I received no such message. Did anyone? If it was from Tesla to reservation holders everyone would have gotten it at the same time.
