I just saw the only RWD CT in my city. Pretty interesting. I like the fabric seat covers. The black alloy wheels look like police special. The vault is completely stripped out, they even removed the under bed storage compartment and all the power outlets. This one has FSD and it goes for same price as a Dual-Motor CT, ouch!

I actually like the fabric seats and the wheels. The latter have a nice, functional, brutalistic quality to them. Not a car only intended to be shown off during the school run.

Yeah. I like the fabric seats too. They don't get scorching hot out here where temp can be over 100 degrees at times. The wheels are cool too. Looks like it belongs on the RoboCop' police cruiser

I think the fabric seats look better than what is in my truck. It would be interesting to do a side by side reliability test of each seat. I also wonder how they compare comfort wise.

The wheels on the RWD stink though.
I agree with all of you on all of your points!

Haha. The unobtainium tension vibes on this thread are palpable.
Well played Tesla. If they bring this back in 3 months they make actually sell a few.

Teslas are by far the safest vehicles on the planet (and it's not even close).
Safety ratings don't stop the number of idiots who have pancaked their Cybertruck into a wall, ditch, or hillside by being stupid.

Of course, we only know this because Tesla is the only brand where 100% of their cars dial home in an accident. And every crashed Cybertruck - because it's an oddity - gets news coverage.

Totally agree, but bad CT drivers aside, many CTs were involved in accidents with animals dashing in front of them or being hit by impaired or distracted drivers, unfortunately...

Yes absolutely.

Even Tesla can't totally fix stupid, but it is saving many lives and in some cases with emergency braking or lane corrections it's also saving lives of other drivers or pedestrians.

Tesla wisely refuses to pay $billions in advertising annually to MSM outlets, so their news coverage of Tesla accidents is of course going to be amplified and often negative.

Not surprised it was removed, surprised they even made these, normally they’d just gauge demand and then cancel orders – must have cost them a decent chunk of change.

The seats aren’t bad and I’ll wager that they will hold up better than our seats long term.

Those wheels are horrible though.

I struggle to see how even going through the effort of making this variant was worthwhile given the part changes.

There are aero covers that go over the forged aluminum base wheels

That is the best looking wheel setup I’ve seen on the Cybertruck. It wants to do a job rather than pose. Tyre needs to a bit more grippy though.

Yeah, but those haven't resulted in any deaths that I know of.
